Problems using cvs

I am trying to get the latest samba pdc sourcecode.

So i did as described in CVS_ACCESS.txt : 

cvs -d :pserver:cvs at samba.org:/cvsroot login          
  
password: cvs

cvs -d :pserver:cvs at samba.org:/cvsroot co -r BRANCH_NTDOM samba

cd samba

cvs update -d -P

Everything was working without any errors or warnings. Then i changed
into samba/source and i wanted to compile samba. But there is not
Makefile or configure file. Should i merge samba 2.0.2 code with
samba-ntdom code. What am i doing wrong ?
