I'm seeing this as well; I fetched my cvs copy last week sometime, running on a
sunos 5.5.1 machine, compiled with sun's cc v4.1 (I think).
While I'm at it, I'm seeing a lot of these:
[1999/02/17 16:23:27, 0] smbd/uid.c:(366)
ERROR: become root depth is non zero
[1999/02/17 16:23:27, 0] smbd/uid.c:(387)
ERROR: unbecome root depth is 0
in client log files (it's always the same lines, haven't had time to look
at the source). Is this a known problem?
