NT printing problems

We are using the smbclient on a DG UNIX server, release 4.20MU02, to print to
wireless NT workstations.  Most of the time the print job runs normally, and the
report arrives on the printer.  However many times the report does not complete.
The error message is 'error connecting to 10.19.7.2:139 (Operation already in
progress)'.  The PC is only running a single application, a terminal emulator,
and the printer is not mapped  to any other systems.  So the printer should not
be busy.  If anyone has experienced this, or has any recommendations, please
send them my way.
