Si e quello ch evolevo fare
intanto ho letto letto letto e ultime prove ho fatto:

ho aggiunto a mano
guestpc::499:100::/dev/null:/dev/null

piccolo test
stargate:/etc/samba# su guestpc
No shell

la dir /home/public ha diritti 777
drwxrwxrwx    5 root     staff        4096 Jun 29 08:19 public
modificato smb.conf
[Global]
guest account  = guestpc

[Public]
        comment = Dir Public
        browseable = yes
        path = /home/public

        public = yes
        guest ok = yes
        guest only = yes
        create mode = 0777

Il mio client NT non apre NIENTE del mio server SAMBA xche prima mi chiede
le credenziali (quindi discorso samba, non linux).
