Trouble is Derrell that there's often no way to
get confirmation without having code out there
in a binary for for people to test.

I'm comfortable with these changes and have
the test environment for them but you have to
realize no one tests 3.0 - it's essentially
experimental (as my recent build farm breakage
proved). Code there will *not* get tested by
the quite good QA process we have for the
"closer to release" branch.
