BTW, sombody e-mailed me to mention that there is a *much* better way to
do the 'mandir macro' hack.

You can run 
rpm --define '_mandir /usr/doc/man'

and therfore avoid out sed hacks...

We can also do multi-version or even possibly multi-distribution
makefiles like this - see the openssh specfile for idea and usage (they
allow the X components to be disabled).

The other thing this could allow us to do is automated RPM building as
non-root.  We can specify the '_topdir' as a define, and create the
/usr/src/redhat tree somewhere in the build environment.
