Another?  Did I miss something?  Or are you referring to the LDAP
crashes?  If so, that isn't what I would call an auth problem (since the
LDAP library crashes rsync after the transfer has begun).

It is normal, as in "that's the way rsync has always worked".  However,
it doesn't really make sense to complain about the socket closing after
getting an "@ERROR" from the server, so I've checked in a fix that makes
this error-case get handled in a cleaner way.

I think I should put a comment about the LDAP crash there -- good idea.
