possible suppression for output ?

There is something interesting though, all directories in the path are
printed , even when files are not modified, here is a snippet of the actual
output
here the only file xfred/modified is tnsnames.ora...

Ah, but it IS modifying the directory -- it is changing the timestamp to
be identical with the source.  There is no way to suppress this, but all
such directory names end in a trailing slash, so you can filter them if
you need to.
