[clug] Off topic : Hackfest? Help or group contact details

Hi all, 

First of all sorry for this off topic post. 

Secondly I seem to remember a few posts on this list about a group,  something like Hackfest, that get together to create electronic solutions to problems. 

My problem is that I have a very good, mostly fox proof, lockup for my chooks but I keep forgetting to lock them up at night. My chooks were killed by a fox last Sunday night due to my lack of diligence. I don't want to get more chooks until I can make something that automatically locks the chooks in at night and lets them out in the morning. This would also be useful when I go away for a few days. 

I thought that some people on this list may be able to help me by either helping me design an automatic locking and opening system or point me to a group that could help.
