Not to discourage using those commands directly - I think it's
definitely worth playing with them so you know how it all works - but
if you're a ZFS user you should definitely check out sanoid's [1]
companion script, syncoid.

Whilst I made using btrfs send/receive sound pretty easy (and to be
fair, they are), there is a learning curve i.e. new concepts to
familiarize with and perhaps a few plumbing scripts you'd write for
yourself to overcome the rawness of these utilities in some places
(but they really aren't so scary once you get to know them).
