...so you could 'probably' host is locally with very little work.
NOTE: https://github.com/jzruscio/LaTeX-Validation also uses MathJax and
could easily be tweaked to do the same thing *and* check templates.

If you use KDE you might like the Kate LaTeX plugin:-

There are a number of non-gui scripts I've used in the past for checking
syntax and converting old LaTeX:-
