I'm with Mike Carden here. Anyone stepping in to 'help' these people is going
to be seen as 'patronising' or 'incomprehensible' - that chance is gone.

If we're concerned about bringing Linux to the Riot-ACTers, let's organise an
Install Fest and advertise it on RiotACT. That way we've started from the
premise of offering help to people, and the critics just look like
stick-in-the-muds.

And now that I've discovered the awesomeness of a TFTP server with options to
boot one or more Linux installers from the network, I'm more inclined to give
this another go. I've got the machine back from Amitay for it too. Then I'll
set it up to be a wireless access point, and ...

It's mainly getting the publicity for the event that's the problem.

Anyway, we can discuss this tonight if people want to come along. Jeff has
had to call in sick with Laryngitis, but I'd like to talk about how we reach
out a bit more and get more people interested in Linux and coming along to
CLUG meetings. I'm all fired up with a couple of ideas from James Bromberger
from PLUG :-)

Have fun,

Paul
