Yes it is. Even places that use Linux, may only be using ancient enterprise
releases, on servers. Defence have interest in Linux related stuff, but I
imagine they mostly use locked down Windows systems. This is one reason I
moved to Sydney when I got the opportunity.

I understand Mediaware have some purely Linux development teams, I recommend
you enquire there.
