Just a side note:

I had to compile a new (2.6.30) kernel for my MythTV backend as CentOS's
didn't detect my newer DViCO card. It's actually not that painful:

1) Download the source and unpack it in the /usr/src/kernels directory (for
the sake of tradition). Check the checksums if you're paranoid.
2) cd into it and make menuconfig. Unless you really love tweaking things
just save and exit.
3) make all
4) make modules_install
5) make install
6) check your boot directory to see it's got the files from that kernel - you
should have the same number and types as your previous kernel. configure the
bootloader to include the new kernel.

If you're doing what I do and building new modules for V4L, make sure you then
cd into that source directory, hg pull, hg update, make, make install.

Back on topic: I'm looking at getting a small tablet machine for my kitchen to
display photos, look up the weather, store recipes, etc. I found
http://motiontek.com.au/ with two machines - the $900 one looks better for me.
Anyone tried running Linux on one of these?

Have fun,

Paul
