I haven't seen this mentioned on the list yet, but for those with an
interest in programming, Guy Steele and Richard Gabriel will be
presenting their much acclaimed "50-in-50: 50 Programming Languages in
50 Years" talk this evening as an ANU Public lecture (ie. free to the
public).
