Not as yet.  There is a supplier online[1] which sells the components
for a nice thermite mixture, but they are on holidays until the 14th.

My current plan is to wait until the 14th, try to get some thermite,
and if that doesn't work, to pursue the home-made forge option.

I note that the melting point of Al is only 660 celsius, so even a
fairly low-end forge should be capable of melting the platters, or at
least distorting them in a satisfying way.

Either way there will most certainly be video/photos of the ocassion
and I will of course put them up on the web and post links to the
list. =)
