2G = GSM.
2.5G = GSM with GPRS (data rates from 56 kbit/s (moving) up to 114 
2.75G = EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution)
3G = doesn't need explaining
NextG = HSPA
3.5G = HSDPA
