[clug] modprobe ip_tables fails

I have a stock Fedora Kernel (F10) and jsut wondering if people can tell 
me if I still need to modprobe ip_tables module during Firewall 
(iptables) startup

I just noticed this on my firewall log file

 Loading kernel modules: ip_tables, FATAL: Module ip_tables not found.

which was a result of a
modprobe ip_tables

The only thing I have done recently is recompile some " v4l-dvb" modules 
which I'm almost certain won't affect the netfiler/iptables modules

any know if this is an issue?
