I've often thought about this in conjunction with something like
VMWare / VirtualBox. I use a 32bit Jaunty install inside VirtualBox
for work (Lotus Notes!), with a 64bit host OS. If I had faster disk /
more RAM I'd consider storing the VirtualBox disk images on an
encrypted filesystem or a TrueCrypt volume.
