A potential issue is that even though they are not a monopoly like 
microsoft, they try to lock you in with Mac OS X, Iphone, Ipod, etc.
And even though they have open sourced some software, they are still 
very proprietary.

Although you can run linux on it, but then at the price of their 
notebooks you may be better to just pay the microsoft taz.
