#1 reason I like Mac OS X - the hardware is guaranteed to work with
the OS.
My Medion laptop is reasonably well supported by Ubuntu, I have yet to
figure out how to get suspend to RAM or disk to work consistently
(suspend works the first time, but never again). At present I have
Ubuntu set up to shutdown when the power button is pressed or the lid
is closed.
WiFi (802.11n, no less) works just fine out of the box. Plug-and-Play
networking (Zero-Conf/Mac style) works just fine.
Now to see if I can make Ubuntu boot fast enough that the lack of
Suspend won't matter...
