? my aging 12" G4 Powerbook playing Ferret movies on VLC via Samba
from a USB Disk hung of the T42 running Ubuntu (Intrepid now YAY!) is
fine.

Over a wireless connection things get a little flaky but with a wired
connection to the bog stock Wireless router thing it is fine.
