[clug] Talk on Thursday

Just wanted to apologise on the list for the hardware not working
for the talk on Thursday - I have a bad habit of continuously
fiddling with things and sometimes breaking them badly at the worst
moment.

I did find the wiring error on Friday morning (lucky it was a
holiday - so I could hack away!) and it is all working again now.

I wanted to show the NSLU2 (nslug) running the lights, but my
ultimate aim is to use ZigBee (IEEE 802.15.4 - a subset of Bluetooth)
to communicate from the NSLU2 and I now have that sort of working
as well - I should have held off on my talk until next time!

Thanks to Brad for suggesting playing with appliance module powered
from a "safe" +5v supply, instead of having it live at 240VAC. I
have now confirmed the signalling from the UHF receiver to the PIC
chip (active high, same pulse sequence as is sent). I have also
used the UHF receiver section to confirm that my car's locking fob
is not using 433.92MHz - one day I'll find out what it is using.

Anyway, just wanted to let interested people know that all is back
on track.

Cheers,

Bob Edwards.
