	CLUG Programmers' Special Interest Group Meeting - 12th April 2007

Date:		12th April 2007 (Second Thursday of the month)

Time:		18:30 - 21:00 (or when it finishes)

Speaker:	Bob Edwards

Abstract:	Bob will be giving an introduction to programming
		microcontrollers. 
		
		The recent interest in projects as diverse as the Open
		Source Segway, the Albatross UAV, Bob's previous CLUG
		talk about automatically controlling home devices, and
		Jon Oxer's talk about home automation, has shown that
		people are interested in working on microcontrollers.Bob
		will be giving a talk about the basic types of
		microcontrollers, what languages they can be programmed
		in, the ways of getting data into and out of them, and
		simple control structures to do common tasks. 

Venue:		Canberra City Pancake Parlour
		
		Find platform 4 in the City Interchange (see map below)
		and then look for the Pancake Parlour sandwich board.
		At the bottom of the stairs, look for the PSIG sign on
		the counter and a stuffed penguin in the indicated
		direction.

Food/drink:	The Pancake Parlour has a large variety of food and 
		drink available, so bring some cash and grab a bite
		to eat or drink.
