This came across the OSIA list and is relevant to our LLG/Make The Move. 
[Didn't see how to post this on the Wiki]

Linux Australia & OSIA turned up to "Education Expo" and got a very good 
reception.
Getting 100% conversion of the Education sector is a very long row to 
hoe - but getting a foothold - some penetration & interest is there for 
taking the time... One step at a time.

In the text of the blog, there is a pointer to edubuntu 
<http://www.edubuntu.org/> and a paper is mentioned, "Parent's and 
Teacher's Guide for Educational Outcomes".  I can't find a link to it... 
Will track it down.

On another note, Robert X. Cringelys' last two articles I found 
enthralling.  Recommended reading.

Cringely lambasts Bill Gates and Microsoft...  Really hard hitting.
