What really annoyed me recently was that I noticed that transact dont
actually offer 256k down anymore, 1gb is the minimum (for the same
price - check the website). I would expect for them to publicise this,
but they were very quite about it, and then when I asked to be changed
to a 1gb plan (which costs the same as what I have been paying anyway),
I was told I need to go on another 12 month contract !!!!

I understand having to go on a contract to cover the cost of the initial
installation, but just for changing from a product which is no longer
offered to one that is was quite annoying....

Considering Transacts business model was built due to telstra/optus's slow
uptake of the broadband/adsl market - a scene which is slowly changing,
Transact might find it more difficult to compete as more people are
given the freedom to choose.
