Hi Don, hi Simon,

May I point your interest into a Linux distribution, which have been designed 
with the similar concept. It's called "EPROS3", a government desktop 
implementation, which is avaliable from the following German side:

	http://www.bsi.bund.de/produkte/erposs3/

This distribution is based on Knoppix/Debian - Woddy/KDE 3.2,  and has been 
redesigned for the German DSI (German Federal Agency for IT Security ). 

It provides:

	an Encrypted File System 
	pre-configured Firewall
	Email client (KMail) with integrated Virus & Spam Filter
	Mozilla 1.5, OpenOffice 1.1.1

Documentation and the sources are freely available.
