well this is patently not true, LaCie have had the 1TB BiggerDisk
available for quite a while now, and now have a 2TB (RAID-able) Biggest
F800 (both with USB2 or firewire 800)

although they're definitely not cheap ($1539 and $4653 respectively from
ht).
