Hello Joel

I have one of these Web Excel Routers (without wireless) and it handles 
this connection via Linux 2.2.16.

When running PPPoE the 4 port router simply becomes a 1 port ADSL modem.
Ethernet ports become PPPoE mode only once connected
You have to disconnect to access the normal ethernet mode again.

This is normal operation.

PS Has anyone else made HALF Bridge mode work with Linux.
