[clug] USB Disk support under Woody

I do my own kernels, and since I didn't own any USB devices
at the time, I needed to build a new kernel with usbfs and
stuff. Plugging the device should get messages appearing in
/var/log/messages, and /proc/bus/usb (I think). I found that
device location (/dev/sde1 to 5) would depend on device, computer
and possibly the phase of the moon.

I have an un-substantiated feeling that USB hotplug is nicer
in sarge than it was on woody, but it was working just fine
on WOody.

try mounting the usb device (which is usually /dev/sda scsi) somewhere.
works for me :)

possibly you need some kernel modules and some scripts, i use a standard
2.6.8 debian kernel and it all works. If the kernel is recognising it
then it should be easy :)
