Try testing the ARGV array with some echo statements at the start of the 
script
Then you'll know what arguments are getting to it (as well as if its 
being run)
and it will allow you to test it on the command line a _little_ without 
having
to commit stuff to CVS to test it.

Next  commit a test directory in the repository that you can use for 
this so you
don't have to keep commiting stuf into you source tree to debug these 
scripts.
