[clug] Streaming TransACT - what am I missing?

Well, I'm all set up with a Marconi modem and the i3 Mood box. I have my 
smoothwall box connected to the second ethernet port on the Marconi and the 
usual mail and web services all appear to work okay from a machine connected 
to the smoothwall box.

I apt-getted (got?) 'vlc 0.7.0 Bond' and it appears to start up okay. I added:

route add -net 224.0.0.0/4 dev eth0
route add -net 192.168.0.0/16 dev eth0

I start vlc with; vlc udp:@239.193.0.2:8208

...and vlc starts but no picture or sound. Or errors.

Now AFAIK the smoothwall default installation won't interfere with ports over 
1024, so I doubt it's the cuplrit.

Any clues as to which direction I ought to be looking?
