[clug] Overwriting a partition

I'm looking to over write my RH 9 partition with Mandrake 10.1. 
I have a dual boot with 2000 and I wonder if selecting the partition with RH on it would be the way to go. 
I'm also wondering about the boot loader will Mandrake put it's own on, or will it use Grub (RH's loader)?
I can't disturb the 2000 partition with Photoshop on it otherwise there will be marital repercussions.
