[clug] Bizarre failures in remote X server

Dear list,

I have set up my Mandrake 9.1 box as a server allowing remote sessions
via XDMCP. Things are working beautifully, I thought.

Now we have a visitor who is also quite proficient at running a Linux
box (Linux From Scratch) and he is keen to use a remote login.

Only problem is half the forms don't work, such as the URL bar in
Mozilla, or certain forms in Galeon. We thought it was a GTK problem but
some GTK apps don't have this issue. No idea what's going on but it's a
real pain.

It doesn't matter whether the remote user starts the app or the user on
the local server, same problem. We did have it working once, after doing
an xhost +servername, but now can't get the same fix to work.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
