Gentoo anyone?

I had problems trying to install from a stage 3 image. I wasn't able to
chroot to the mounted partition, and hence unable to install GRUB. anyone
had this problem/ know what I'm doing wrong?

| Installing it right now on my new hard disk. A few points:

|  - Bootstrap looks like it will take about 5 hours on my PIII 600. This is
| because you basically compile everything -- the CD only has a minimal boot
| image. This means lots of downloading too.
