I've recently setup a couple of machines using Xandros Linux
(www.xandros.com) and ended up adding Win4Lin (www.win4lin.com) to run a
couple of Windoze apps. It's early days yet but all seems to be working
pretty well so far.
In my case I converted the old Eudora email files to run under a native
Linux email client (www.ximian.org) however this was slightly messy. All
seems to be working now though. I could have run Eudora under Win4Lin but
I wanted to get the bit extra worm/virus protection by using a native Linux
email client.
