Hardware question

I need a DVD drive, and I could use a faster CD burner.

Coincidentally, I see that Cougar have an E-IDE/ATAPI DVD/CDRW combo drive :

Can anyone advise if this is likely to work without hassles on my brand new 
box? I'm running RH7.3 if that makes a difference.

I know nothing about hardware, nothhhhhing...
