[clug] OT: WebOne pppd Follow Up (and free ADSL??)

Just out of curiosity, hopped over to iiNets website since they seem to
now do all the support for WebOne to see what they had in the shape of
support info.  Found two interesting things.

Firstly, they do support linux (at least Red Hat).   On their support
page, there is a document on how to setup a standalone RedHat system to
dial into iiNet.  It indicates that PAP authentication is required and
that iiNet's servers do not allow CHAP authenticaiton.  Will investigate
my CHAP scripts later to see if they are still required with WebOnes
boxes.

The other interesting thing was in their August newsletter.  For those
that live in Nicholls, Ngunnawal or Amaroo and who want to trial ADSL for
no charge via the new MiniMuxes (that I assume Telstra are evaluating),
you are to get in contact with iiNet.  Tempting, oh so tempting.....
