Hi

Kernel 2.4.18-14 #1 Wed Sep 4 13:35:50 EDT 2002 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Round about the same time as upgrading to Redhat 8.0, I have lost all the
PCMCIA cards. "cardctl status" shows

Socket 0:
  3.3V 16-bit PC Card
  function 0: [ready]
Socket 1:
  no card
Socket 2:
  no card

but "cardctl info" fails to show a MANFID. The default version couldn't
"load high memory"; after "cardctl reset" it just showed "no info". I got
PCMCIA pcmcia-cs-3.2.1, rebuilt the tools, and then "cardctl info" shows

PRODID_1=""
PRODID_2=""
PRODID_3=""
PRODID_4=""
MANFID=0000,0000
FUNCID=255

for the first card. I can't attach any drivers to this card (under earlier
versions I used orinoco_cs and wvlan_cs - it is a Toshiba inbuilt wireless
card).

Anyone else had problems like this?

Cheers

Jan
