Only used gabber from a client side.  Same experience as others - works
well with jabber, doesn't work so well with other IM clients.

Just wanted to add that my initial impression was that there was a HECK
of a lot of bandwidth being chewed up by the XML protocol it uses to
communicate.  From memory, sending "hello world" to another gabber user
resulted in 6 pages (24-line page) worth of XML.  That seemed a tad
excessive to me.

Of course, all these IM things are simply due to lamers not
understanding that the internet already has a standard way of
communicating in instant messages, as described in RFC 1459.
