Thanks.  That's good.

I installed zlibc last night (wow!) and was wondering if anyone had ever
tried doing something similar for crypto.  It seems quite
straightforward, apart from getting the key.

For those who haven't tried zlibc, have a look.  Transparent access to
.gzip files.
