nisping oddity

I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced the following.  One
moment I could be doing a nisping, the very next moment it fails, and the
next moment it's successful again.  Here's the failure:

(jcarro10)$ nisping org_dir
org_dir: Error in RPC subsystem

The problem is intermittent.

I don't get this error on the Solaris side.

Ideas?
