[jcifs] Problem with SMB/NtlmPassword Authentication in Mac OS X

Further, I debugged jcif code with valid user details and I endup with
resp.errorCode  NtStatus.NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE.

I just like to know either this kind of authentication will work in OS X
10.6? 
Do I need Samba username map as in linux systems?
