[jcifs] jCifs + tomcat 5.030 Working but not showing user in access log

Hi,

I have jCifs set up on Apache Tomcat/5.0.30. It auths the user & i can see the 
Username in the "Remote User". But  it  dose not show up in the Tomacat access 
logs. I have Tomcat access logging set to:

pattern="%h %v %l %u %t "%r" %s %b "%{Referer}i"
"%{User-Agent}i" "%{Cookie}i""

If i turn on  the "tomcat manager app"   it logs the  manager's ID ...

How can i get  The jCifs authenticated User ID into the access logs?
