SMB/CIFS is a difficult protocol suite. jCIFS makes things much easier,
but you will need to know a reasonable amount of Java programming and
about SMB/CIFS itself in order to write something workable.

The purpose of this mailing list is to promote the development of jCIFS
itself. We are interested in talking about tools based on jCIFS simply
because knowing how jCIFS is used helps us understand better how to build
it. Unfortunately, we cannot spend a lot of time explaining how SMB/CIFS
and Java work. We must assume that knowledge. If you need to learn more
about SMB/CIFS please see the references listed on the jCIFS site.

Thanks.
