Definately. You have full multipart transact pipes so it's primed and ready
to  go. You just need the PDU layer some NDR stuff and a little crypto. Not
like  it be easy though. If you did it that would be great. I can't seem to
bring  myself  to  dive  into  it yet. I think people would really do great
stuff with RPC funcs in jCIFS.

A  program should be written to model the concepts of the task it
performs rather than the physical world or a process because this
maximizes  the  potential  for it to be applied to tasks that are
conceptually  similar and more importantly to tasks that have not
yet been conceived.
