For the output, I can give you the whole line. having the whole output will 
be hard to send over because of all the security issues over here.

As for the command input, not sure if it's what you want, but here's nothing 
:

C:\cCygwin\bin\distcc.exe 
powerpc-eabi-gcc -g -pipe -fsigned-char -funswitch-loops -fgcse-after-reload 
 -mstring -mcpu=603e -fshort-wchar -o0 -Ddebug=1 -D__powerpc__ somefiles

After a little talk with the programmer, they are not running the program 
when the error occurs. In fact, they can't compile it if they are using it.

I know we should upgrade, I checked the last cygwin distribution, and it 
still has that version.

On the other hand, the programmers can still compile their code even if they 
have that error. just wanted to make sure it wasn't a sign of more trouble 
coming our way.

When reporting problems, please say exactly what command you ran and quote 
the *whole* output.
That problem could perhaps be because you are trying to compile a program 
that is currently running.
P.S. distcc 2.18.3 is five years old; time to upgrade to a more recent 
version?
