[distcc] Support anywhere?

Figured it out!  I'm so stupid!

Main machine: Ubuntu Intrepid
Other machines: Ubuntu Hardy

Using Hardy --> Hardy works fine.
Using Intrepid --> Hardy fails.

Different kernels: it's obvious now!!
