Hi Guys,
Been testing distcc in our environment, and am hoping to implement soon. I have come across something, that I need some guidence on. When compiling code I am using the -j10 option. If I am correct, this should be sending 10 parrallel jobs to my distcc servers. However when using the distccmon-text, I see the following...
27790 Blocked [0]
27801 Blocked [0]
27803 Blocked [0]
27791 Blocked [0]
27797 Blocked [0]
27802 Blocked [0]
27816 Compile mltest_process_win32.cc 10.0.0.1[0]
27808 Compile mltest_validate_instrument_dow 10.0.0.1[1]
27789 Compile mltest_environment.cc 10.0.0.1[2]
27788 Compile mltest_validate_util.cc 10.0.0.1[3]
So it seems to be locking the build to only 4 jobs. I have only got 1 distcc server and have set --jobs 80, to make sure that it isn't this causing the issue.
Can someone explain what could be happening here, and if Im missing a configuration item that may be stopping this using more jobs?
Cheers,
Joshua Baldock
