[distcc] distcc and intel compiler

hi,

does someone know if it is possible to set up distcc with the intel
compiler (icc)?

we also use distcc with gcc and it works really great.

but with icc i get the following distcc error:

distcc[17708] (dcc_pump_sendfile) Notice: sendfile: partial transmission
of 131072 bytes; retrying 271566 @131072
distcc[17708] (dcc_pump_sendfile) ERROR: sendfile failed: Broken pipe
distcc[17708] (dcc_build_somewhere) Notice: failed to distribute to
"euc117", running locally instead

every time make calls something like:
distcc icc  foo.cpp -c -o foo.o
(if i replace icc with gcc - it works fine)

the icc executable is installed in a 'nonstandard' location, but the
path is the same on every distcc host
an is included in the PATH.
(and i have also tried 'distcc /full/path/to/intel/icc foo.cpp -c -o
foo.o' )

our distcc version:
/import/software/inst/bin/enabledistcc v. 1.0, last mod. Mon Sep 30
16:49:17 CEST 2002
